These bright, iridescent beetles are fairly easy to spot along a pathway. They are hard to video! Like most other tiger beetles, the six-spotted tiger beetle is extremely fast, can fly, and is shy of us larger creatures.

I managed to get some really nifty video of this incredible species mating and feeding. Check out this six-spotted tiger beetle using its large white mandibles to crush and slice its prey!

FYI - If you pick one up and it bites you then it’ll probably just feel like a light pinch.
